Cynthia looked at her coldly. “Mrs. Leonard, do you need something?”

“So you’re aware that I’m Mrs. Leonard. Cynthia, let me warn you, you’d better stay away from my husband.” Face all done up, Angela glared at her.

“I hate to break it to you, but I’m not interested in trash.” Cynthia replied, derision evident in her voice.

“That’s what you’re saying now, but whether you’re keeping your word, I wouldn’t know. I heard that you’ve got a son. Is this true?”

Cynthia’s face drew taut. “It’s none of your business.”

“Though what I’m not sure is whose bastard it is. Cynthia, I’ve got to hand it to you — getting pregnant right after you went abroad. You must have been really lonely.” Angela assumed that Cynthia had conceived her son while she was abroad.

Hearing the word ‘bastard’, Cynthia became livid and gave her a slap to wipe off the smugness on her face. Cynthia had not been able to do so back then, but today, she would not hold herself back.
