[51.1] Tables that Turn

Kaya’s POV

"Kaya, Isn’t it?" Azian asked me. My eyes fluttered up to him, feeling enchanted by them, my heart beating softly within its cage. He was really talking to me, like the flesh.  He really knew who I was, he knew my name.

I don’t know why these were the first thoughts that rummaged my brain. I was feeling nervous and my heart refused to ease itself and give me a break. My body stiffened and I knew there was no way to avoid him. It would be much too weird if I didn't look at him for the whole dinner much less say a word. I just had to keep reassuring myself that everything that had been happening the past two nights was not real, no matter how lifelike they had seemed

It had all been a dream. Nothing like that could happen in real life. My eyes steadied on that gorgeous face of his and watched as that faint familiar smirk appeared on his lips.

Almost like a taunt.
