Chapter 19- Escape

The boys reluctantly agreed, and it turned out my dad was with his own men who took out Enzo’s men while Leo distracted Enzo with an attack.

As soon as we broke free from the building, I looked at Marcel, who looked excited for the run. Desmond was still weak and held on to my father.

“Kids, come here. Papa needs to change,” I said as I held my hands out for them. They held my hand as my father went behind the tree and transformed into his wolf. He was a large black wolf, and the boys giggled when they saw him.

There wasn't time to play, and I knew we needed to leave now.

I picked up Desmond and kept him on my father's back, while I went behind the tree and shifted and had Marcel climb my back. My wolf was excited as he took off running, and the rest of the wolves surrounded us in protection. The path had been cleared, and after running for what felt like minutes, we arrived at the boundary.
