Chapter 43

Ashley’s POV,

It has been an uneventful weekend as nothing new really took place. Well, except you want to add the fact that Allen and Logan finally resolved their differences but we haven’t really had any important convo before our new mission.

Though the moon goddess had blessed the day richly, I wasn’t getting a share of that.

The day was bright, sunny, and windy. The wind blew hard, twirling my hair and attire. But after working my life out, all I felt now was exhaustion as beads of sweat were all over my body.

I and the other slaves were out on the field, not a literal field though. We were simply working and we were split into two groups. While male slaves dug the soils for iron ores, the females had to go carrying them in sacks into the storeroom.

Eventually, the work was gradually coming to a close as the male slaves finished their jobs while we had to do the finishing.
