Chapter 66

Ashley's POV

It was past midnight. My eyes lingered at Allen's bed which was already occupied by another. My thirst for revenge burned and I swallowed the phlegm in my throat.

"Just a little longer, I won't tarry. It will be over soon," I gritted as I fetched my muffler. I wrapped it around my neck, pulling up my turtleneck top. I tucked a dagger into my pants and I flipped on my coat.

I made my way out of the dorm under the noise and watch of other colleagues who were still awake.

I couldn't steal away under their watch. So I walked down to the comfort room. When I was done with my business, I slipped away through another end.

My coat fluttered noisily in the cold wind and I quickly buttoned it up. With my arms folded across my middle, I made my way into the woods, passing through the routes that Rocco had shown me earlier.

Just like he had said, there was no one in sight. I was concerned about it before, but no one stopped me until I got to the point of rendezvous.
