ALYSSA’S POV.

“I’m not throwing it out sir, it's just kind of stressful and I can’t do it. I’m sorry, sir.” I stood up to leave, but the next words he said made me halt.

“Miss Brown, the pay is double your pay here, and it’s not that stressful. You only need to dress the child up for school, feed the child take the child to school, pick the child up, and feed the child lunch and dinner before a bedtime story then once she falls asleep you’re free to go home and come back the next day before coming to the office.” He said desperately like he was the person in need of help. The pay is good and when he mentioned the ‘child’ in all sentences, I thought the ‘child’ doesn’t have a gender. Finally, I knew it was a girl, I stared at him before replying.
