Eleanor's p.o.vI was woken up by loud movements that scared me. I blinked a few times as I quickly sat upright.Ducan sat in front of me with a smile. His hair was tied neatly in a half low bun and he wore a red expensive robe that was made out of silk and a beautiful flower design."Morning." He greeted me softly.I frowned then quickly looked around to see if the demon king was around. The last memory I had of him was when he approached me and touched my head."Eleanor." He called, getting my attention."You can't be in here Ducan, you can't." I said strongly.I was scared of what he would do to him, if he found him sitting next to me on the bed."Relax, the demon king has stepped out of the palace to handle a few private matters. Once a week he does that and it takes him approximately sixteen hours to return." He answered as I sighed in relief."What of the servants?" I asked seriously.Even though the demon king wasn't in the palace, his servants were. If they saw Ducan go in a
Zara's p.o.v "Son, try and eat something please. It took me a lot of hours to prepare this." My mother whispered softly. I glared at her coldly then stood up from the bed. She was to be blamed for everything that was upsetting me. If she didn't agree to give Eleanor to the demon king, she would have been here next to me. "How do you expect me to eat happily when my future concubine is obviously warming the bed of our enemy!" I exclaimed furiously. She moved closer and pressed her hand on my shoulder. "Son, there are a lot of women who want you in this village, even girls of your age would love to have you as a husband in future." She said as I furiously hit her hand. "I don't want girls and women. I want Eleanor." I said with emphasis. She frowned for a second before walking out of my bedroom without a word. My plans were ruined!. Everything was now going the wrong way. Right now I had no power or great connections with anybody because I wasn't a chief yet, although that did
Ducan's p.o.vAs we walked outside of the palace, Eleanor kept on looking around nervously. I could sense that she was scared of running into someone."I told you this before leaving the palace, no one can see past my invisible spell, only the demon king can." I said softly then held her hand in mine hoping she would relax and enjoy our walk to the place we were going to.She looked at our linked hands then at me seriously."Holding hands is a little too much Ducan." She whispered in a complaining voice."It will be fine, trust me." I whispered back softly. She swallowed hard then nodded as we continued to walk.My eyes were stuck on her every movement because I was mesmerized by her beauty. She looked too natural yet I couldn't shift my eyes from her.She wore one of my simple robes because she refused to put on something that was see through. Although the clothes were somehow baggy she still looked amazing. Her hair was tied into a messy bun and the slippers she wore were rather big
Ducan's p.o.v "Just look at the surroundings!. It is so magical and that fountain over there is captivating!" She exclaimed then grabbed my hand pointing at it. After breaking down in front of her, it took me some minutes to fully compose myself. When I pulled back and looked at her, she laughed softly then grabbed my hand and went with me outside. There she began showing me things I already knew and saw. She was acting very nervous and trying her best to cheer me up. "Eleanor." I called softly. "Just look at those beautiful trees." She exclaimed, ignoring me. "Eleanor." I called. This time a little louder. She stood still and faced me seriously. "You don't have to worry about me because I am fine." I said as her expression softened. She moved her hand and pressed it on my cheek with a sad smile. "Ducan, I know I might sound selfish or foolish but......, why don't you come with me to the human territory?" She asked softly, angering me. "What!" I exclaimed while I took a
Eleanor's p.o.vI slowly dragged myself forward with tears running down my cheeks. I understood he was angry with me for trying to rush him and forcing myself on him, but his words were just too cruel.I couldn't believe that he saw me as someone without morals or respect. His words were hurting my heart and they were still ringing in my mind.He was right, I was stupid and very crazy because each time I spent with him I didn't care what he was or what his past is. The only thing I cared about was our time together. I felt at peace and more happy around him than I had ever been in my entire life. What I felt for Victor could never even start to compare with what I felt for Ducan.I ignored the cold breeze and walked to the edge of the cliff standing there sadly."It wasn't my intention, you know." I whispered in anger then huffed loudly "Is it my fault that you are the first person to make me feel like this?" I screamed as tears ran down my cheeks."You touch me as you want and kis
Ducan's p.o.v We walked back to the palace hand in hand and in silence. It felt nice and peaceful just watching the horizon at the cliff. I finally understood why my mother loved that place. It also gave me closure to them despite them being dead. When Eleanor stopped walking, I too did. "What's the matter?" I asked calmly. "We are close to the entrance." She whispered softly. I looked ahead and noticed that she was right. We were a few seconds away from the entrance to the palace. I dropped my hand from hers with hesitation. Her warmth made me relax and forget where we were for a minute. "Go in." I said softly. She looked at me seriously then shocked me when she tiptoed and kissed the corner of my lips gently. She was about to pull back when I kissed her lips. She instantly wrapped her arms around my shoulders and kissed me back. My arm went around her waist pulling her closer as I thrust my tongue past her mouth, enjoying her low moans and response. "Ducan?" Ose called
Ducan's p.o.v As the generals left the throne room. Ose remained behind as ordered by me. Once they were all gone, he quickly moved closer with a concerned expression on his face. "Ducan, is there something you want to tell me?" He asked seriously. "Yes." I answered. "Okay, but I too want to ask you something. Was it the right decision to keep the female humans here?" He asked loudly. I understood his concern but what did he expect me to do?. Kill them all?. "What exactly did you have in mind?" I asked back. "I thought you were going to send them back to human territory." He answered. I smiled then raised my hand, gesturing to him to move closer which he did. "Sending them back would make me look like I'm weak. The priests would think I value the female humans a lot and they would be sending more of them every time until we fall." I said seriously. He kept quiet then sighed heavily. "You sure do have a point but then think about what they could do to our generals and warrio
Ose's p.o.v "It's not that you can't stand humans, it's just that you are stuck on wishing for someone that can never be yours." Those words were ringing in my head until now and they made me furious. My heart was aching badly and my form wasn't human any more. "Ose." Oni greeted me with respect. I ignored him and went to the main dungeon cell, looking at the women who all sat down in silence. Their feet and arms were chained to the chains that were linked to the walls, limiting their body movements. I could tell that they were strong and strictly trained. All weak humans would have been scared and in tears, not quiet and collected. "Dark fairies, I call on you." I said calmly as a few appeared next to me. All dark fairies had no specific gender and they were referred to by rank / name or the word it. They took any shape or form of anything they liked. So while others looked like male demons, some looked like female demons. A lot of them served those of high rank because they
