Ducan's p.o.v We walked back to the palace hand in hand and in silence. It felt nice and peaceful just watching the horizon at the cliff. I finally understood why my mother loved that place. It also gave me closure to them despite them being dead. When Eleanor stopped walking, I too did. "What's the matter?" I asked calmly. "We are close to the entrance." She whispered softly. I looked ahead and noticed that she was right. We were a few seconds away from the entrance to the palace. I dropped my hand from hers with hesitation. Ducan's p.o.v As the generals left the throne room. Ose remained behind as ordered by me. Once they were all gone, he quickly moved closer with a concerned expression on his face. "Ducan, is there something you want to tell me?" He asked seriously. "Yes." I answered. "Okay, but I too want to ask you something. Was it the right decision to keep the female humans here?" He asked loudly. I understood his concern but what did he expect me to do?. Kill them all?. "What exactly did you have in mind?" I asked back. "I thought you were going to send them back to human territory." He answered. I smiled then raised my hand, gesturing to him to move closer which he did. Clair's p.o.v I was in so much pain as I kept my voice in. My body was trembling badly and it was covered in sweat. I couldn't hear my friends' words clearly but I could tell that they were panicking. I was grabbed by a hand roughly and forced to stand up. I looked at the snake man in front of me then stumbled. The way she acted was unlike any other being I had been with. What shocked me the most, was how she admitted to liking my demon form.
