STORY OF HOPE

I started to feel that Nick is in a very complicated situation. When your battle is within the family-especially your parents, you can't do anything except to just follow them. That is one of the toxic culture which is very common in this country. I am thankful that my mom never thought of having kids anymore so I considered myself lucky.

I listened more as Nick continued sharing his life story.

"My mom and my dad have never allowed me to have a girlfriend... not unless if my youngest sibling is already finished. And now, the fact that he is already a fourth year college, I know that I will also graduate from unending bills. Seriously, having a sibling is hard so you are lucky because you are the only kid of your mom and if she happened to become pregnant, there is a high possibility that you will shoulder him or her when he or her grows up!"
