Chapter 14

BRENDA

As we head upstairs, my mind shifts to the very first time Ethan and I made love. He was the first man to ever taste my honey pot. He's the one who broke my virginity and I still remember the shock on his face when he tried to penetrate to no avail, until I informed him that my hymen was yet to be broken by anyone!

We had to use a lube for lubrication since I was tensed and I couldn't get wet by myself.

Right now, I'm just smiling inwardly knowing that the man I'm in love with is the same man I gave my purity to.

Ethan understands my body so well and after a moment of romance, we make love for a long time till we both slump on bed exhausted to the core.

It's already on Monday and I've just arrived in the office. Ethan drove me there before he headed to his office. He doesn't allow me to drive myself citing that I might get on the wrong side of the law or get a card since I'm still an amateur driver.

I'm surprised to find Brianna already in the office, busy at the reception being trained by Clara and Sophie since I had already given them a call and briefed them about Brianna.

Since they already met her during our house warming party, they don't need diverse introduction....they were well introduced that day and they already know that we're identical twins. I acknowledge them and request Brianna to follow me to my office since I have some few issues to iron out with her before she starts working here.

She nods then comes from behind the huge reception desk then accompanies me to my office. All this while we're chatting happily, asking her how the rest of the weekend was and if she finds the work easy of which she replies that she will find a way to manoeuvre through.

I acknowledge my Personal Assistant Myra who's already on her desk and I inform her that I'll be seeing her after I'm done with my sister. Upon entering my office, I sit behind my desk and she makes herself comfortable on the seat in front of my desk. Since my coffee is already on the table, I place a call to Myra and ask her to bring another cup of coffee for Brianna.

Brianna and I have a lengthy chat about work as we sip onto our coffee and I'm glad when she promises that she won't betray me for the good deeds I've done for her.

Having agreed on everything, I ask her how she finds Stephen and she blushes, saying that she loves him dearly and they're soon moving in together. I just smile at that, knowing that my sister is unable to love and commit deeply unless there's something she's gaining!

“What about the kids?” I ask, “Do you love them as much as you love their dad?”

“Yes dear, they're adorable and fragile and they love me like their mum. I can't dare hurt them!” she promises but still, I'm finding it hard to trust her! The Brianna I know doesn't have a loving heart. Anyway, I decide to give her the benefit of doubt. Maybe she has changed for the better.

We chat a little longer and when I finally release her, I ask her to inform Myra that I need her in my office. She bids me goodbye, promising to see me around then disappears from my office.

Right now, my heart is at rest knowing that I've done the right thing. Guilt would have killed me if I kept on giving money to Brianna instead of teaching her to earn by herself. At least I'll be smiling each moment I see her name on the payroll after the accountant hands the list to me for verification. That's what sisters do...helping each other grow and I really pray that I'm not making any grave mistake by trusting Brianna!

Myra briefs me concerning my appointments for the day and feeds me in on everything else I need to know. I also instruct her on whatever I need to be done, mails to be send, who I want to see and who I don't want to.... Having agreed on everything, I excuse her and she heads back to her office which is just next to mine. We're only partitioned by a glass wall.

The rest of the day moves on fast and during lunch hour, I call Brianna in my office so that we can have lunch together and she agrees though she informs me that Steve wanted to take her out for lunch but she had to turn him down, besides, they'll have dinner together.

Our chef brings our lunch and we both eat, chatting as Brianna briefs me on whatever transpired at the reception, how she finds the work there easy, how clients thought she was me and most of them kept on wondering why I had to sit behind that desk. She informs me that it took a lot of convincing for them to believe that she's not Brenda!

Well, I saw most of it through the office security cameras and I'd just laugh my ass off after seeing the doubt in my clients' face. They'll really have a hard time believing that we are twins!

After lunch, we take some juice and then I excuse her to head back to her desk. Watching her perform her duties has really convinced me that she's already a changed person and I certainly give all the credit to Steve. Maybe he made her start seeing life at a different perspective. Wow! If this is really true, then I owe everything to him!

The day is already over and immediately I'm done with my final appointment, Ethan shows up in the office ready to drive me home. He's looking all handsome, just as usual and he gives me that signature peck after being away from each other for about eight hours.

By the time we exit the office, only a few staff members are left finishing up their chores and as we board our car in the reserved parking lot, I spot Brianna getting into Steve's car and we wait till they drive off and we follow suit.

All through the drive home, I can't stop telling Ethan how I happy I think my sister is with Steve and how I pray they end up together as husband and wife...
