CHAPTER 49: A FATHER'S MISTAKE

Jason walked into his father's office, in his finely trimmed black suit. His hair left down, swerving around with each step he took.

He sighted his father at the other side, looking down at something. He got closer and saw it was the family's album.

"What are you doing with that old man? Trying to get back some kind of memory?" He settled in the seat just across the table.

Jackson removed his reading glasses and placed them in its case. A sad smile went across his lips as he shifted out of his enclosure. His eyes roamed Jason's body, from up to down and vice versa.

"You look different," he said.

Jason's right eyebrow lifted up, his lip twitched to the left side, trying to understand what his father meant.

"In a good way, I mean," Jackson corrected himself quickly. "You do look like a married man now, your aura is different."

Jason sighed, contemplating whether to tell him or not. "If you'd ask me, I'd say you look sad and lonely and pained."
