“The last time I came into this room, Barbara nearly killed me with her dead glares ”, Emily said as she looked around the large room that had Richard’s portrait hanging in a corner.

She smiled calmly, clearly pleased with his taste of furnishing and color.

“Your room is beautiful and exquisite”, she commented, trying so hard to conceal how uneasy she was beginning to feel.

After the episode at the river, Richard had driven her back to the house, but suggested that she visits his room.

“Barbara won’t be happy if she finds me in your room”, Emily had tried to protest but kept mute immediately she felt a tight grip on her wrist.

Without uttering any word, Richard had pulled her into the house and straight to his room, ignoring the puzzled look on her face.

“I’m glad you like it, goddess”, Richard replied with a big smile that caused her heart to churn in uneasiness.

She wondered why he insisted on calling her goddess, but after seeing how he wasn’t willing to change that, she decided to
