Now he was begging. Not only was he self-centered, but he was also very manipulative.

“I am begging you. you can take tomorrow off. This came on and I have to be there. You have to come with me, Danielle. You know I need you,”

He went on. Dani hated him so much for manipulating her. She hung up and turned on do not disturb mode. She picked up her bag and walked out of her apartment. She got in her car and started it with every intention of driving to the hospital but his pleading voice kept echoing in her head.

Dani cursed out and drove out of her driveway. She arrived at the company about twenty minutes later, she cursed at herself all the way there. She angrily got out of the car. She didn’t know if she was more angry at Luciano or herself for not being able to stand her ground and tell him no. She grudgingly got
