Chapter 109: Mercenaries

The village chief, Samon, and his son, Simon, were gathered at the village entrance along with a few other villagers. And in front of them was a group of five people all clad in black clothing.

“Chief, trust me. You do not want to try to stop us.” Azazel said.

“You are threatening my people and you just told us that you are to take the crystal. Of course I won’t trust the likes of you!” The chief strictly said.

“Chief, even if you take us on with your entire village, it’ll only be your loss.”

The chief did not say anything back. Even though he could not sense any aura, he could very much tell that these people were not lying.

“Father!” Sasha shouted as she came closer to the gathering.

Samon looked at his daughter with worry. “Sasha, what are you doing here? It’s dangerous!”
