What other nonsense was that man talking about? Judith's mouth dropped open at Santiago's request. So did Drake, who suddenly looked away while snorting sarcastically.

"We're wasting our time here," Drake said. He was about to leave when Judith placed her hand on his thigh. Drake turned his head and looked at Judith, who still looked calm.

"This is so ridiculous! Come on, Santiago, I'm not in the mood for jokes. Lives are waiting for that antidote," Judith said.

"It's not a joke, dear Judith. It's the price you must pay for the antidote," said Santiago.

"And that price is unreasonable," Judith retorted.

"How often must I tell you it's very expensive?" Santiago raised one eyebrow. "If you become my wife, then I'll give it to you for free," the man continued.

"Speaking of price, I think it would be more relevant if you mentioned some amount. Tell me, Santiago? How much did the antidote cost? I have enough money to buy it," Judith urged, emphasizing "how much" as a question word for amou
