This was a disaster. The danger alarm inside Ryn's head lit up, roaring with a blinding red light.

"Albert?" squeaked the girl.

Ryn thought the man was not in the palace. She'd heard him directly—just eavesdropping—as Albert and Jayden talked about a business meeting with an Alpha from another pack that couldn't be delayed any longer.
