Chapter 61
For months, I drifted in and out of consciousness, aware of the world around me only in fleeting moments. The battle against Marcus and his evil forces had taken a toll on my body, and it was only through the moon Goddess's divine intervention that I had been brought back from the brink of death.
As I slowly regained full consciousness, my senses were overwhelmed by a mixture of sensations and memories. The cries of battle still echoed in my mind, a haunting reminder of the fierce struggle we had endured. My body felt heavy and sluggish, as if I had been in a deep slumber for an eternity.
The room around me was bathed in soft, diffused light, and the scent of healing herbs filled the air. I turned my head slightly and saw Max sitting by my bedside, his eyes filled with relief as he watched me awaken.
