“Hold up.”

Bryan clasped both his hands. With his brows furrowed, his eyes are going back and forth between Ayle and I.

“So you guys were saying that your dad offers you two to work with him? I thought both of you aren’t in a really ‘good term’ with him?” Bryan asked, confirming his thoughts while air-quoting his words.

“Come to think about it, he wasn’t that bad. Right, Alex?” Ayle tries to hide her mischievous smile but failed miserably.

It’s almost ten and we are just chilling on the living room. Bryan chose to crash here tonight since he keeps on complaining about being bored living alone.

“I guess it has something to do with the distance.” I chug on the bottle of coke before continuing. “We rarely meet, barely talk.”
