                          PROLOGUE

"Jaden,Jaden,it is time for you to settle down with someone."

I glanced from where I lay on my flotation mattress,looking tired to keep myself from indenting the material as I trained myself to do,At the doorway stood my father,who gave me a calm but disapproved look that I made a move to sit up properly.His expression was a definition of disappointment,slim nose upturned,I already knew where the conversation was heading,I let my cheek fall to the cool mattress with a sigh.

"This again"I said.

"You are no longer a boy,you are now a man"He said while unfolding his arms on his chest revealing the beauty of his suit as he moves,His hair is grey and beard giving him all round classic aura.

I am still a growing young man,there is still time.

"I married your mother when i was even younger than you are" he said as the matter of fact "It is time for you to stop fooling around,get yourself a respected lady from a wealthy family background and marry,stop making our family look bad."

"I don't make our family look bad."

"And it is time for you to start your own family so we can give the family businesss a new successor."

I pushed myself into sutting position,making sure to smooth my waistcoat,lest I give him something else to complain about"so you expecte to meet someone today,marry and have children,it does not work like that but maybe nowadays with the dating app. it is possible but I am not like that."

"There are plenty of beautiful and young women interested in you,Did u remember my friend George,his daughter have been asking for your hand in marriage since you were kids and she is very beautiful."

I raised an eyebrow at him"legal arranged marriage aren't a thing in America again,this is 2020 not 1765,I just don't want to marry someone because it helps our business.

"You want a marriage made out of love?"He asked,his voice taking on hard edge "Rich families marry into other rich families to keep their wealth,it is what our ancestors have done before us and what we will continue to do.That's how we can keep the family business alive."

As he turned away he said"You have no choice in this matter,if you don't settle down,you will not become a successor of the business."

Then it hit me

The plan was simple,find a woman and pay her to love me for six months,when it is time to be introduced to my father we will breakup,he will not push me further because he will see that I am broken and it is my first heartbreak.
