CHAPTER SEVENTY-THREE

Kol’s POV

“So… Did you get everything you needed?” If Josh thought I was going to dignify that with an answer, he was senile.

“Come on man. We got who we were looking for, didn’t we?” No, we didn’t. Not entirely. The manager had interrupted us before the woman could say anything. We didn’t need her anymore. Everything we needed was right with me and though it’d take longer to figure it out, we’d figure it out together. Me and this nincompoop.

“The end justifies the means, no?”

“Certainly does not.” Dimitri said nothing as we drove back to the company. Silent as ever.

“So, mind telling what the f*ck happened between the both of you?” I thought I saw Dimitri look back and then front swiftly with the speed of a cheetah but maybe I was wrong.

“Thought you said she told you.” If I didn’t think Josh knew he couldn’t physically win a fight with me, because I’d beat his a*s to pluto and back, blindfolded, he would have punched me with the look on his face.
