CHAPTER 117. ALEX IS FEELING MORE AND MORE GUILTY

"You think I'm going to stab you in the back, huh!" said Josh casually but emphatically. "Apparently you don't trust me," he continued.

"Sorry, I don't distrust you, I just can't think straight right now," Alex replied, massaging the bridge of his nose. He was feeling very tired right now.

"Since you can't think straight, then you shouldn't see Angelina for now, Alex," Josh advised.

"But, Josh, I'm worried about her. Where are you taking her?" Alex asked again.

"You don't have to worry. I'm taking her to a safe place. She's very shaken up so I'm trying to keep her calm," Josh explained, trying to reassure his best friend not to worry too much.

"Did you bring Angelina to your house?" asked Alex frowning.

"Seriously! If I brought her home, my mum would have married me to her in a heartbeat. Do you want that to happen?" Josh grumbled.

"No, no!" Alex retorted quickly. "I'll kill you if you ever marry Angelina!" Alex continued. It wasn't just a threat, but Alex meant it.
