Chapter 34: Pretty Boy
I thought I was still dreaming when the door swung open and revealed a face I’ve only seen in my thoughts and dreams from time to time, but when he greeted me hello, I knew it was more real than it could ever be.
“You look like shit, K.” He said with a light chuckle. Still the sweetheart that he’s always been, it seems.
“I still look better than you though. You cut your locks? That was the only handsome thing about you.” I teased and he narrowed his eyes on me as if deciding whether or not to take me seriously.
As kids, Zane and I bonded with either him being nice to me or flat out teasing me. There was pretty much no in between and that’s how we liked it.
