Chapter thirty eight

Luckily, the spot where I’d been hit wasn’t that painful so I was still on my feet. He held on to my hand while I tried hard to get away from him.

“Leave me alone!” I yelled and before I knew it, some men gathered around me. I gulped as I stared at them, “who are you?” I asked as I saw deadly smiles walk up their faces.

“Get her!” I heard Dave say and I didn’t need someone to tell me that they were with him.

“Leave me!” I screamed and made to go for a run when one of the men held on to my hand, stopping me from running from them.

“Tell me David, is this the same woman that had caused you to get hurt?” One of the men asked and I gulped as I recalled the last incident I had with Dave before I left their house.

He chuckled as he walked in circles around me, I knew his walking around me was not good and I didn’t want to feel scared but how could I not?

“If I tell you she’s not the one, would you believe me?” He asked and one of them chuckled.
