Chapter 62 Nervous Tension

That afternoon, Audrey had just arrived back at her office after inspecting the research center accompanied by Kyle when the office intercom rang sharply.

"Hello?" said Audrey quietly.

"Audrey, are you back?" it was Liam's voice.

"Yeah, just now. What's wrong?" Audrey asked flatly.

After the incident of seeing Rica in Liam's work room with revealing and messy clothes, Audrey completely avoided having any contact with Liam outside of a professional relationship as boss and staff.

At home, she also tries as much as possible to avoid being alone in the same place.

Audrey will be silent when Liam speaks, and only speaks when asked, and even then only as briefly as necessary.

Audrey didn't want to open her heart any more to give the chance to feel pain again. She coats her helplessness with a cold and distant attitude.
