The reconciliation

I walked out of my room dressed in a wine robe. I held the edge of the dress as I descended the stairs heading to the dining room. I walked into the dining room and gulped down into nothing as my gaze landed on Ryan and Damien who were in the dining room even though the distance was obvious. His Beta, Mark, was also present in the dining room.

"It's a good thing you come,"

"You look so beautiful in this dress," he tried to have a conversation even though it was obvious that I didn't want to talk with him.

"Thanks," I muttered and forced out a fake smile so as not to raise suspicion among the other men in the dining room.

He shook his head with a sigh, he'd a fainted and weak look on his face. Stress was having a toll on him. He looks weak and miserable like his guards have said.

It's such a pity that it's because of me.
