Chapter 29

[ Dave’s P.O.V. ]

I was silently observing Davvy’s unfamiliar behavior since she arrived with her nanny in my office. She was quiet and silent. If she hadn't been asked how she was at school she still wouldn't have spoken.

Also, during our trip to our home, she just looked outside the car, as if deep in thought. She was still quiet while eating dinner. Sometimes I caught her, she was looking in front of her table, right where Brianna was when she was still here.

"Are you okay, baby?" I ask her.

She immediately averts her eyes on where she was staring. She nodded at me. "I am okay, Daddy." She immediately brightened her face and voice.

“Okay. Continue your food."

Davvy just nodded.

After our dinner, I went straight to the library and finished all the work that I had not finished earlier in the office.
