Crying Baby

"Davvy." I sighed when Dave followed inside. He sat on the other side of the bed while stroking the child's head. "Please, tell me. Are you not feeling well, baby?" Dave asked weakly.

"I don't want you to be here, Daddy," she replied.

"Why? Are you mad at, Daddy? You're not even talking to me these past few days. Daddy is worried, baby."

Davvy still did not comply. Didn't even look at Dave.

"Davvy, alright, if you don't want me to be here. . . Okay, Auntie will just leave now." I said with a heavy heart. I looked at Dave as he got serious then sighed. "Bye, baby. . ." I stood up after I caressed her head tenderly.

I sighed, I was about to move my feet when suddenly I felt a tiny arm around my body. Gradually my heartbeat increased and I suddenly felt happy.

"D-Davvy. . ."

"I really want to hate you, but I can't, Aunt Brii," she said as she hugged me. "Will you stay here for a while?"
