Reminisce

Dave didn’t talk to me after that night. If he talks to me, that's when we're just facing the child. And if it’s not about Davvy, I’m just like air in his eyes and he’s like ice, cold to me.

I sighed.

Sometimes I don't really understand what he wants to happen. I followed his plan, now he wants to change.

"Auntie, I'm sleepy," Davvy called my attention in silence throughout our drive home that afternoon. She also yawns to face me.

"Oh, what are you tired of?" She nodded sleepily at me. "Because even before we go home, you still continue to swim in the pool."

"Sorry."

I smiled and caressed her cutie face. “It’s okay, baby. I understand. It’s a part of your childhood. Come, lie down on my thigh,” I said as I put a small pillow on my thigh to make her lie down. “Dave, slow down. I will just fix the child's laying down.” I said in a normal tone.

He stopped to one side and helped me fix Davvy. When the child was lying down properly, he resumed driving.
