Chapter 16: The Reunion

Since leaving their condo, Clarissa had been fidgeting. On that particular day, she was gracing a special event to sign her contract and officially begin her fashion ambassadorship with Alonso Atelier.

It has been a week since Bamby informed her of this new deal and she has been anxious for days. Mikael and she had been best of buddies since childhood but it had gone different since they became teenagers. Both took different paths and unlike before that they would have constant meet-ups every so often, it was like they had become strangers. When Mikael went abroad to study, they somehow lost touch. While she was also busy with school and with her new career as a model.

She had been reading news about her childhood sweetheart and had been sending messages to each other on special occasions but she felt it would be awkward to see Mikael in the flesh.

Clarissa had been restless inside the car. She was moving her hand, twitching her fingers, or even biting her thumb. And Bamby noticed the
