Chapter Thirty Six
When Danica woke she found herself lying face to face with Mason. His eyes were shut and his breath was coming steadily, it seemed that he was still deeply asleep.
Examining him up close as he slept she couldn't help but find herself appreciating just how good he truly did look. Even with five o'clock shadow he still looked handsome.

"You were awake?" Danica demanded slapping his shoulder. "Why didn't you say something?"

Danica peered at the strange looking portal shimmering and falling like a waterfall in front of her. They had arrived in front of it about ten minutes prior and Mason had busied himself setting up camp outside of it along with his men.The day had finally arrived for them to head to the darklands to search for the Sarff clan and to begin trying to find the sorcerer that had cursed her. Outside the black snow had finished falling and the whole area beyond her tent looked to be covered in ash rather than snow.
