Chapter Sixteen

Lindsey and I went to their house. It was a two storey house on a private beach in Zambales.

“Nice place.” My eyes roamed around the house.

Lindsey looked stressed already.

“I moved here after I left the group.” She answered.

“And Griffin? Err, I mean Adam. Where did you guys meet?” I asked.

I still can't believe it's all just a coincidence.

“We met at the orphanage. He was one of my friends when I was still there. You believe in puppy love?” She smiled bitterly. “He was my first love. He never knew that, I did not confess my feelings back then. We were so young. Luckily, he got adopted. We lost our communication after my graduation from high school. His adoptive family migrated to Vietnam with him. The orphanage management let me out after I turned eighteen. To make the long story short, we saw each other again after ten years. He was working that time as a senior programmer in an app developing company. I was a clerk there.” She continued. “He did not recognize me.
