Chapter Seventy two

"Hello Amy." I said in a steady tone though my heart pounded so hard that I was sure if she was a bit closer she would definitely hear it.

"Damien?" She whispered slowly like she could not believe it was me. I watched as she walked around the counter and stood in front of me. My height towered over hers so she basically had to look up at my face.

My eyes trailed over her small frame. Her shoulder length bob hair, her skin had a nice tan to it so did her smooth face. I eyed her outfit in distaste, she was clad in a white button up shirt, black pants and an apron with the Cafe's name on it, while her feet had on some scrawny old flip flops that needed a change so badly.

I pulled her close not able to take it any longer and she held me in the same pattern, bawling her eyes out on my t-shirt but I did not care. I held the tears in, trying to be a man. I could not break down in front of anyone.
