I went to work after dropping my son off at school, my boss was waiting on me saying, "I need you to do a job tomorrow night," and I agreed. He said, "I am glad that I didn't kill you when you first got here, you turned out to be a real money maker," and then he left. I made sure to not give away my plans because he could sense when something was off and I just played it cool, I couldn't wait for tonight and to be out of this place for good. I will miss the people who looked up to me here but I needed to go home and fast, I wanted to see my kids and Halle again and hope that they were safe. My day was uneventful and I was getting ready to close when my wife turned up with my son, a gym bag with what she wanted to walk with, and two backpacks. I had previously told her about the rescue plan and I had the potions ready.

We ate and just waited for the time to leave, Carrie walked up to me and kissed me, she was nervous but hopeful to leave this life behind. I
