Chapter 54

Bethel's eyes glisten as minutes dragged by. She wondered what Harry is doing in her father's house.

What could he be discussing with him?

Questions filled the air around her as she awaits his return. It's fine if he will be getting engaged to Annie but that isn't enough reason to bring her back here.

Another long minutes dragged by and Harry finally stepped out, Bethel's chest started heaving as he approached her. She wondered what he would say to her but he didn't utter a word and that made her even more unease.

He climb on his scooter and fit in his helmet. She was confused on what to do. Climb on the scooter behind him or stay back?.

Has he finally brought her back to her father's house? 

She doesn't understand the silence treatment and she wished he would just say a word to her. Anything at all.

"Hop in behind me" his voice was calm and she released the breath she didn't even know she was holding.
