Chapter 13. The day after.

Stephanie Miller.

I woke up with a nasty headache and felt like a car had hit me. I can’t believe my luck.

The only time I went out with the girls, they drugged us. It’s like a black cloud invades me wherever I go.

I sit in bed, feeling better than I deserve. I scratch my eyes when I see Matt sitting at the foot of the bed, looking at me seriously.

Seeing his cold eyes sends a chill down my spine. I swallow hard and ask. “What happened last night?”

He raises an eyebrow and says. “I want to ask you that same thing. What happened last night, Stephanie?”

I frown and reply, “Which part are you referring to? Because as I remember, several things happened last night.”

Matt grimaces and says, “Is that so? Start from the beginning then. Because let me tell you, in the state in which we collected all of you, it was regrettable.”

I open my eyes wide, and I can see that he is angry. No, scratch that. He is furious.
