CHAP 60: The Trial of Love

Anna seemed to be softened by Declan's pleading-like words. She scratched her head, her hair dishevelled, unsure of what to do. "If I take you to see Fidelia, I'm afraid she'll think I'm selling out friends," she said. "Do you know that, in the days when you lost your memory, she was very lonely and miserable?"

"I know. That's why I wanted to meet Fidelia to atone for my mistakes. I really don't want to lose her again." Declan spoke in a hurt tone, his heart breaking.

Alex sat next to Anna; he also asked her: "Do you want to separate Fidelia from Declan? How would you feel if someone also wanted to separate us one day? It will help if you put yourself in their shoes. Besides, it's not entirely Declan's fault in this matter either."

Anna sighed, pursed her lips, looked at Alex, and then back at Declan as if she was struggling to make a decision. Anna finally agreed to take them to see Fidelia.
