Another deal

"In exchange for obediently attending to your n-needs... Let my pack have at least two square meals" Leah spoke, trying her best to ignore how suggestive she sounded.

She had to do something about the little children whose parents are busy with hard labour and could not tend to their hunger and were always crying everyday due to sufferings from hunger.

"No" his reply was as ruthless as he was.

Leah went on her knees again and begged, her heart kept hurting whenever she hear the cries of the innocent children.

"Please, they are all innocent from all these. They know nothing"

"Then do you think my people weren't thesame when your father ruthlessly did thesame thing?did he think about the people that were innocent?" She could feel the growing tension from him.

She wasn't sure what he was talking about but she knew her goal today wasn't his anger, she wanted to find solutions to the problems of her pack members, something that could help.

"Even, if what you say is true and you were really treated that way, you should understand the feeling and at least not punish the innocent who has been in your situation" Leah spoke trying her best to sound very convincing.

He only stood up and left the room coldly.

Again, she was left alone. It would be another moment of her thinking of what her people were going through and if they were really using whipps on them.

It didn't take long for her to begin to wonder how many girls from her pack had been sexually assaulted like she was.

Again, it killed her to know she could do nothing about it.

She was dozing off in the room when the door was pushed open, lady Karen came in.

"What did you do?!" She asked fiercely with annoyance.

"What do you mean?" Leah asked, eyeing the woman who she had come to know as a robot.

"Why is the Alpha giving orders that your people be allowed to eat?!"

Leah heaved in relief at the news, she had thought he had refused to feed them.

"Why does it concern you?" She fired back, hating the guts of this woman

"Oh, you would find out how it concerns me soon. Get up, you would serve each of them by yourself without a single help"

Leah immediately got up, she had wanted to see her people for a while, to see how they were faring, to comfort them.

So she agree to personally serve.

...

Leah glanced around as she waited for the guard to open the cell door, she was holding a tray of food to serve her people that were locked up.

She entered and almost couldn't control the cry that escaped her lips.

Her sight had caught a familiar face, it was her personal maid in her pack.

She looked like she has been tormented badly, as numerous eyes watched her carefully with anxiety.

Of course, they would wonder how she was able to get out and even put on garment that weren't torn or dirty.

Leah dropped the train of food in the middle, calling to them to eat something and feed their children. She bent down in front of Lexa.

Her palms were warm, too warm that she was sure her maid was running a fever.

She didn't even recognized her at all.

She needed treatment, at least a check up before it got worst.

"Time up" it was the guard who opened up for her.

"P-please call in a healer, someone is sick" Leah begged.

"Haa... I never received orders that I could let the prisoners get special treatment. Come out or I will drag you" he threatened.

Leah looked anxiously at Lexa, she needed to find a way to get her out and to see a healer.

She hurriedly left the cell in search for lady Karen.

"P-please allow the healer to see one person in the cell, she's sick" Leah begged Karen.

"No" she answered coldly.

"I would do whatever you want, please"

"You have nothing that I want, nobody from the cell would receive treatment from any healer"

"T-then let a healer from my pack attend to her"

"They have all been slaughtered" Karen smirked at the horror now displayed on Leah's face.

They killed all of their pack's healers?

Leah ran out again, looking for the devil. She knew asking Karen for his whereabouts wouldn't help, so she decided to find him herself.

He wasn't in his room, she was searching around when she bumped into the man she had always seen him with.

"P-please where is your Alpha?"

He scrutinized her like she was a threat but Leah didn't care.

"You should avoid him if you want to survive, he's in the worst mood right now"

"M-my maid needs treatment, p-please for just this once call a healer for her" Leah pleaded.

He seemed to think and then spoke hesitantly.

"If I let her see a healer, then do you promise to keep the Alpha out of anger?" He asked.

Leah was dumbfounded, how did he expect her to do that?

"How am I supposed to do that?" Leah asked.

"You can try" he replied.

"Okay," Leah agreed, more concerned about Lexa receiving treatment than an Alpha who couldn't control his temper and let's his people worry about how to calm him down.
