12: Homecoming surprise
Jaclyn and Ken stand on the other side of the street, and she stares at the house she once called home. Confusion and scepticism cloud her mind as she thinks of the way forward. They had already planned out everything and Ken promised to have her back, yet her heart panicked at the thought of the step ahead.
She has a black furry sweater on, yet she feels cold from the inside out, a reaction caused by fear. She doesn’t want to let Ken see it; they decided together, but the last-minute dilemma did not help.
She had almost changed her mind yesterday, but Ken grabbed her by the shoulders, kissed her lips and told her she would be great. Ken then asked if she would come out to her mother about everything, but she told him there was no need to. She then said if she asked, she’d simply find a simpler story to tell. Her stay home would be one of starting over and there was no reason to dig into the past.

Hello, I am sorry this isn't an update. I know updates have been very slow with this book, but it will change. Betrayed By The Alpha is very dear to my heart and yes, I paused it because I had a massive block with the storyline also, and I didn't want to write rubbish and ruin your love for the book so far. I would have wrapped it up this month, but last month I began a program in my country. It commenced this month for 21 days and that's what I've been in (I still am here). NYSC is a mandatory program for all new graduates under 30 years old and I barely have my phone. Once that ends I will complete the book. I will begin updates latest by mid-April I will finish it before April ends. I am once again sorry for the delay. I know a lot of you are invested in the book. Thank you for your support so far.
