13: Lost years
Her face pales at her mother’s words and her head whipped to the man standing at the door. He had brown hair and blue eyes matching hers. She scoffed, now seeing the much resemblance they shared, yet she could not recognise him at first glance. That’s what happens when you leave before your child is fucking born.
Jaclyn stumbles back from the door and the man stepped further into the house.
“Hello, Jaclyn.” he greets, giving her a smile that causes his dimple to show on his face.
Her head feels light and emotions ranging from shock to anger course through her.
“What is this?” she turns to her mother, feeling a little betrayed yet again.
Diana barely gets to say something before Jaclyn steps out of the house, taking to her heels immediately after.
“Jaclyn!” Diana screams in panic to her, but she doesn’t stop.

Hello, I am sorry this isn't an update. I know updates have been very slow with this book, but it will change. Betrayed By The Alpha is very dear to my heart and yes, I paused it because I had a massive block with the storyline also, and I didn't want to write rubbish and ruin your love for the book so far. I would have wrapped it up this month, but last month I began a program in my country. It commenced this month for 21 days and that's what I've been in (I still am here). NYSC is a mandatory program for all new graduates under 30 years old and I barely have my phone. Once that ends I will complete the book. I will begin updates latest by mid-April I will finish it before April ends. I am once again sorry for the delay. I know a lot of you are invested in the book. Thank you for your support so far.
