46: Sins of the father
Unlike the last week that I finished my assignment and took the bus with the rest members of the team, today I’m still far behind despite five p.m. being less than thirty minutes away.
It feels as if I’m being punished in the place of Ken and Quinton because a week has gone by and I haven't heard anything hinting their punishment. Instead, I’m the one getting bombarded by unending work and assignments. Perhaps Avril learnt about our rebellion and picked me as the scapegoat or perhaps Dane instructed her to double my task because the later I close, the fewer the chances of me joining any rebellion.
Our communication with each other has also been limited and the attendants at the estate received instructions to keep us as far apart as they can.
Ken, however, being a stubborn witch of the north, often cast a spell that blinds the attendants while he sneaks in to talk to me.
