Chapter Twenty-Nine

GYPSY'S POV

I stare at Enzo, completely dumbfounded. I blink several times, words getting stuck in my throat. Is he really serious?

"You don't need to give me an answer right away, princessa. You're not even obliged to agree. He said this was the best course of action but he didn't say other options wouldn't work. We can go with the other options.” Enzo explains in a rush.

I still continue to stare at him, dumbfounded. He sighs and cups my cheek in his hand, causing a shiver to run through me.

“We're doing this for Zeke, Gypsy. Our marriage doesn't have to mean anything.” Enzo says. ”It'll just be a contract that can help you secure the custody of your son, and we can get divorced right after. But like I said, it isn't necessary. We'll go with whatever you decide.”

He hesitantly puts his arm around me and pulls me closer. I let out a shaky breath, leaning in to his touch.

"Take all the time you need to think about it yeah?" He whispers and I can only nod, my throat feeling so dry from
