Aria's eyes went to the spot where General Caldwell usually waits for her but he wasn't there. For some days now he hadn't shown up. It was a good thing. Aria was aware that it was a good thing but her mind and willpower couldn't stop the longing she was beginning to have for him in her heart.

"Have you seen General Caldwell around?" Aria asked Erika who brought in her lunch tray.

"I haven't sighted him anyway in the palace my lady, and sincerely speaking, I feel like it's for the best. Those times we always saw him after Lady Brunhilda's lessons made me feel uneasy."

Aria nodded her head in agreement as she picked up a toasted bread into her mouth.
