[ Rain ]

"Rain, stop!" I hear Nicholas's pleading voice from behind as I was about to climb the stairs. I don't turn back as his face may force me to retreat from my decision of maintaining space between us until we sort out our differences.

"I am tired, Nick. Can we talk later?" I try to avoid having a conversation with him.

"No, we have to talk right now, Rain. I know you're only trying to distance yourself away from me and it kills me everytime with guilt of hurting you unintentionally. Please, for once listen to me. I promise I won't take much of your time." He pleads again.

I am not a heartless person and definitely can't let my pride cloud my sensibile judgment.

I slowly turn and come face to face with Nicholas whose dull face lit up instantly.

"Can we talk before we head to my parents' home?" He tucks on my wrist gently.

"In the porche?" I ask as I badly need some fresh air.

"No problem but I prefer the pool area." He says.
