Chapter Forty

Sweet Dreams:

Nora’s dreams were nothing but blood filled. She kept seeing everyones face and now Joel’s face was added to her nightmare. She jolted up right in her sleep throwing something very heavy off of her. She heard him grunt as she looked over at him. The moonlight flooding in from the bedroom window shone perfectly on him, highlighting him. His face was frowning as if he was in pain. Nora looked at him, her hand reaching out and brushing over his face. At her touch his brows moved back into a relaxed position. She smiled seeing his reaction to her. He was shirtless, her eyes wandered down his defined chest and abs. Her fingertips brushing down over his neck and then slowly down his chest. She watched his skin shiver under her touch.
