The Lovers - 20. Hugh

I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to finish up on my school work. But my mind went back to thinking about the French student sleeping in his room.

Deep down I still couldn't believe that Hugh was in an accident and he didn't even bother the call me. I shouldn't hang up on him, I was terribly rude at him when he was just probably worried about me.

The anxiety was back, I tried so hard to concentrate on my assignment. I know I was behind on some of the school work and realized that the first couple of pages that I just did weren't my best.

Finally, I was giving up on my books and headed to the little patio outside. I was about to light my joint when Hugh took it away from me.

"What the...where did you come from?"

I didn't hear him coming, I was surprised seeing him, and was about the get mad at him when I saw the anger on his face. I've never seen him with such emotion and it made me take a step back.

"I told you to stop smoking this."
