Disappointment

I stood there dumbfounded.

I had no idea what answer to give him.

Should I even be getting money from someone who tried to kill me because I smelled like Egon? It clearly means he’s after Egon and wanted to kill me because he thought I meant something to him. Right? Because I don’t see another possible explanation.

“Nothing,” I shook my head at him, “I don’t want your money.”

“Are you sure?” He smirked, looking at me in amusement.

I frowned.

Am I sure? He made me rethink.

I scratched my head as I thought about it.

If he’s Egon’s enemy should I be worried? Egon already abandoned me, so even if I take his money it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s not like he’ll find out what Egon is to me and to be fair, Egon isn’t anything to me and he won’t be anything to me in the future either. He left me and I don’t see him coming back.

“Um,” I shook my head, “No,”

“So?” He folded his arms, “How much do you want?”
