Chapter 18

(Harper POV)

The next morning at breakfast felt awkward. Colton had seated himself in his father’s normal seat at the end of the dining table. He had put me in his usual seat and Damien had sat himself opposite me. We were already seated in uncomfortable silence when Damien had sat down. He winked at me, and I looked down at my hands. The sound of their sniggers made me feel sick. I felt Colton’s hand on my thigh and tried to pull away and he gripped and squeezed hard. Hard enough for me to cry out. I looked up and saw the whole table looking at me and I covered my mouth. I looked at Colton, who was glaring at me. I lowered my eyes again and heard him chuckle.

“Women, eh?” he said and the men around the room chuckled. I glanced up again and Colton began rubbing my thigh where he had previously hurt it.
