"What are you talking about? How can she be missing?" I start yelling. "You were right, all this time you were right." Dad says and I know exactly what he means. It's the nurse. It had to be. "Autumn, what is happening?" Domenic asks me as he takes my hand. "Prue is missing, the nurse took her." I say and Domenic grabs his chest as if someone stabbed him. "We need to go home now!." I yell and he struggles to put the keys in the ignition. "Dont drive all the way here, I sent someone hours ago to come pick you up. Just go to the house and let Miguel take you home. The police are already here." Dad says as I try to gather my thoughts and Domenic starts the car. "Drive to the house, Dad sent Miguel to pick us up." I say and Domenic hits the reverse and drives us out to the road. "Drive safely, please remain calm. We are going to get her back." Of course, we are. No other option comes into play. I don't find anything to say and just end the call, I think I am still in shock."What di
We arrive back at the Cromwell mansion where the driveway is filled with flashing police cars so much that we can't park any closer to the house. I get out and start running towards the house barefoot as I leave the shoes in the car. Domenic follows me inside and as soon as my father sees him he throws a punch at him. And Domenic takes it, not saying anything to it, and is prepared to receive more but I step up. "Not now, what happened in the past doesn't matter. What matters is Prue." I say as I push Dad away as a police inspector comes up to me. "We checked your tip about Miss Moore, and you were right. She escaped the medical facility she was held at." I knew it. God damn it I knew it. "I saw her, tonight. At a club we were in." I say and the police looks at me weirdly. "How would she know where to find you?" Dad asks as he looks at Domenic. "That is something the police needs to figure out." I say as a policewoman brings a tablet to the investigator. "We just got the surveill
It's Alice's mother. And everything gets tied down back to Gregory. That's what she wanted Prue, to get back at him. "Yes." Gregory says and the second he hears her voice I see his eyes change to rage telling me I am right in my conclusion. "You bitch, don't you dear touch a hair on her head." He growled at the phone as Domenic pulled me to his chest. "I'll do whatever you want but you better not touch Prudence." She wouldn't hurt a little baby, after all, she is also a mother, so she wouldn't be able to, right? "I'll be there." He says before the line gets cut and he lowers the phone from his ear. "What did she want?" I ask. "She wants me to bring her money in exchange for Prudance, and she wants an escape boat." A boat, so she has to be close to the shore."The call got cut out, we weren't able to get a location." The policeman says but Gregory doesn't seem too worried about that. No, he knows where she is. "What did she say? Will she call again?" Domenic asks, clearly not s
"What are you doing? It's not her we are after, we need Domenic." Henry says as he comes out of the shadows as an unknown man holds me from behind."Henry, what are you doing? They took my baby." I say and he looks at me."I know, but we are not going to hurt her, we only needed her to lure Domenic out." But Domenic is not coming. God, how many games are being played tonight?"Enough of this, let's get her inside." The man says as Henry opens the door and they push me in, Gregory looks surprised to see me."Autumn? What are you...you followed me?" He says in disbelief."I came for my daughter." I say as I look at Prue in Alice's arms."Alice, please. Just give her back to me." I plead with her but the man pushes me to the floor."What are you doing? I told you not to hurt her." Henry says as he wants to help me get up but the man stops him."If she is here it will give Domenic one more reason to come." What does he want with Domenic?"What do you want from my family?" I ask and he loo
"Alice, don't." I say, pleading and she hesitates."You said you wouldn't hurt her." Alice says to her mother as she looks at Prue in her arms."And why would you care, she is the baby of the woman who took everything from you." She says as she extends her arms out expecting Alice to give Prue up."All my life..." Alice says. "... you taught me that my only purpose was to marry Domenic, to be a part of the Davis family. And I never questioned you, I did everything you ever asked me to do, even when it was against my desires. You got me convinced I wanted him, and it became my personal mission to get him to the point I was willing to hurt innocent people." She says as she looks at Henry lying by Jacob's feet."Yes, such a sob story now give her to me." "I'm not finished, mother." Alice snaps back. "When I did manage to separate them, and there was a tiny moment in which I was able to stand by Domenic's side, I wasn't happy. In fact, I was miserable and full of rage and when I needed y
I was lying down in a hospital bed connected to an IV for some reason as the nurse wrapped my leg while Domenic stood in the corner watching me. God, what would I pay to be able to read his thoughts right now? He probably wants to talk to me about the article, or maybe he knows I remember everything and wants to know why I hid it."All done, just ring me up when the IV runs out." The nurse says as she takes off the gloves and picks up her things."I hope you feel better." She says."Thank you." I say as she greets Domenic with a head gesture and leaves the room."How is Alice?" I ask him as he pushes off the wall and comes to sit next to me."Critical condition, the doctors don't think she will make it." He says as he tasks my hand."I can't help but feel sorry for her, maybe if she got a chance to change earlier a lot of things could have been different." I say as I intertwine my fingers with his."And how are you?" I ask. I want to know, but I also want to buy myself a few extra sec
"I can't believe it's your prom night. You grow up so fast, my baby is 18." Mom said as she took pictures of me in my prom dress. "Mom enough with the pictures, please," I begged her. "Hey let me make some memories, I already feel bad enough that I have to go to work. I won't even get to see your date.” Mom said as she laid down the camera and came to hug me. “Even though I was so proud of you for achieving this scholarship I always worried about how they would treat you in that private school.” She said as she brushed my curls. "Well I didn't really care about fitting in, I was there to learn, to get opportunities for college. But I managed to make a friend or two."And that friend that's taking you to prom, is there any chance he will become a boyfriend in the future?" As close as I am with Mom I never really talked to her about Domenic. "Don't you need to go to work now Mom?" I try to turn the conversation. "Uhh the old change the topic scheme, fine fine I'm leaving but I will
All of a sudden I was woken up by the sound of my alarm clock. I can't believe that nightmare is back, I was doing so good. Why was it back now? I rushed to the bathroom and splashed some water on my face, it's been more than ten years since that night yet I still can't forget about it. The nightmare always seems to find me. I got dressed quickly and got ready for work. Luckily I don't live far away, living above where you work has some privileges. The first two floors are my library cafe, I have to say I'm proud of myself for what I created. It's a perfect place to enjoy a good book or work on paper while the aroma of freshly brewed coffee accompanies you while sharing a conversation with a friend. The third floor I made into my apartment, I still own my mother's house but since her passing, I just kind of stay here.I got downstairs just as Jess, the girl who works for me opened the cafe. "Morning boss." She said as she put her apron on."Morning Jess, can you please prepare the la
