Forty-two

I walked into Lowell's mansion tiredly. I had a long day at the hospital. I saw her for the last time before her burial. My so-called father and his daughter, Laura, had already made plans before I got there.

They had signed several forms and made several notes, and since they were the first to do that before I got there, they were the ones that would take her away from the morgue, plan her burial and invite other family members; that is if there's any. I would not be too surprised if they told me there were other family members though.

Again, I did not notice Brenda in the sitting room when I walked in. Many times I wondered why they had to build such a large sitting room when their family was only made of three people. I was already walking into the house when I heard her speak. Her voice caught me off guard, which made me very shocked.

"Welcome." She simply said, but her voice resounded in the room. Despite how filled up the room was, her voice still echoed, and that was what made
