Chapter 22 Feelings That Never Change

Paige's POV

Ares turned his back on me and was about to enter his room when I grabbed his arm, stopping him. He clenched his jaws as he looked down at me with furious eyes.

"Where did you get the money?" I asked in frustration.

"It's none of your business. Just be glad that we're not losing this house."

"Answer me, Ares!" I growled at him. I have a hunch about what he did. He already did this before when Achi got sick. He badly wanted to help Aunt Precy that he… I sucked my breath. I don't even wanna think about it.
